The role of forest and agriculture towards environmental fortification: designing a sustainable policy framework for top forested countries

Climate change has been a concern in the public sphere throughout decades. Also, constant climate as result of geologic history is posing global problem. Many earlier studies have focused on various factors; however, this study intends to contribute distinctly; therefore, we select 22 countries among top 30 forested world declared by CEO-WORLD 2020. The explores relationship between energy consumption, agricultural value-added, land, forest area, and real GDP with CO2 emissions from 1980 2019. For analysis, account for heterogeneity cross sections developing novel panel nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag model order capture within-group variations, which data form Shin et al. (2014) model. Pesaran 2007, CADF CIPS unit root testing results indicate that investigated variables are stationary at their first differences. empirical finding shows positive negative shocks electricity consumption land favourable statistically significant long-term effect emissions. Positive value-added areas adverse influence environmental degradation, while substantial shock insignificant, whereas impacts This research's contributions will help policymakers evaluate needs implement clean energy; combating deforestation reduce improve quality environment change.
